About the center of Resilience

About Marjo – Guardian of the Forest
Here begins a different way of belonging to the world.
My name is Marjo. I’m a coach, a nature-based therapist… but above all, I am the guardian of a timeless place, nestled between trees, stars, and the souls who come in search of meaning.
Here, in the heart of the forest, I’ve created a sanctuary. A living, breathing space, deeply rooted in the earth — a place to lay down your baggage, your fears, your doubts… and remember who you are. To breathe. To be reborn.
A Childhood that Shaped the Soul
I grew up among five brothers in a Reformed Christian household, where words were sacred and dialogue a daily ritual. Every afternoon at four, my mother would greet us with a steaming pot of tea, ready to hear our stories. That’s where I learned to listen, to feel, and to think for myself.
But being the only girl — and one who didn’t quite fit the mould — in a culture steeped in tradition, I developed two quiet superpowers: adaptability and authenticity. I found my way through the rules, the frameworks, the expectations… in order to uncover what it truly means to be oneself in a world that often tells you who to be.
A Lifelong Search for Truth
From an early age, I was drawn to the essential. I explored sacred texts, seeking the threads that connect Jesus, Siddhartha, and Mohammed. When three great teachers, separated by centuries, echo the same truths — perhaps that is where truth lives.
That journey freed me from old dogmas. Today, I no longer believe in anything that confines the soul — only in what opens, soothes, and uplifts. I’ve made that freedom my lifestyle, my philosophy, and the foundation of my work.
Living in Harmony with the Wild
I now live the dream I had as a little girl — to be the woman who lives alone in the woods, wild-hearted, free, surrounded by animals and mountains.
And sometimes, I open the gates to my sanctuary. For those who feel the call to pause. For those who sense their truth knocking — quietly, yet insistently.

Why 'Center for Resilience'?
We are often accustomed to comfort and convenience. This keeps you in your comfort zone and makes you dependent on others or external factors. This hinders you from pushing your boundaries and discovering how powerful you truly are. Out of fear of failure or rejection, you often don't even dare to take the first step towards your hearts calling.
There's nothing wrong with you; it's just the way you're 'programmed'. Don't take risks, but play it safe is something we hear regularly. But let us ask you this: what happens to you when your safe haven is taken away, like your relationship, for example?
At La Forêt du Dragon, we strive to change this mentality. We want to bring you back to a different environment, where everything you know falls away and you discover that you are capable of much more than you think. This not only increases your resilience in difficult situations but also in relationships. Everything you seek is already within yourself. We're here to help you remember.

Resilience as key for a happy life
If there's one thing certain in life, it's that everything changes constantly. Whether it's at your job, in relationships, or in your surroundings, you cannot control what happens outside of you. Therefore, you have to rely on yourself and stay grounded. When you are centered within yourself, you are way more capable of dealing with the environment.
Increasing your resilience leads to:
- Being better capable of dealing with stress and feeling less overwhelmed.
- Adopting a positive mindset; you look at challenges as learning moments instead of obstacles you can't overcome.
- Improving communication in your relationships, as higher resilience leads to flexibility and understanding.
- Developing determination and trust in yourself and your capabilities.
- Finding it easier to deal with traumas and difficult life problems.
Overall, people with a high level of resilience are more positive-minded about themselves, others, and the situations they encounter, which ultimately leads to a happier life.
